DO YOU TRAVEL?

YES. Traveling is one of our favorite ways to experience the world. Our travel fees are calculated per location (flight, car and hotel) and are book by Someplace Wild. To receive pricing info, please fill out the inquiry form found here.

SHOULD I BOOK A SECOND PHOTOGRAPHER?

First, it is important to know that this is a pricey add-on, mainly because we are working with seasoned photographers. We do not hire someone who just got their first DSLR to document your wedding. We will bring a professional!
Second, we shoot about 60% of our weddings solo with two cameras, acting almost like two people. That being said, we highly recommend having an additional photographer for over 150 guests.

HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT "SMILE AT THE CAMERA" PHOTOS?

Let's be honest for a second, most parents and grandparents desire these photos more than anyone, therefore of course we will grab a few posed, smiling photos at every portrait session and wedding. However, it is important to know that we have an overall documentary style so naturally, this is not the focus. Our typical client or couple desires organic, naturally occurring interactions between one another, their families and their wedding guests.

SPEAKING OF WEDDINGS: DO YOU NEED A SHOT LIST?

We do ask that you provide a family photos shot list so we make sure no one is forgotten; beyond that, we prefer not to work off a list. It is quite challenging to capture the dynamic moments in front of us when we are looking down at a bullet-point checklist!

DO YOU OFFER THE DIGITAL FILES?

Photos are meant to be shared! So yes, we include edited, high-resolution images in all of our packages.

HOW MANY IMAGES WILL YOU DELIVER?

Rather than aiming for a certain number, we focus on creating quality images that honestly tell the story in front of us. That said, we  generally deliver a minimum of 40 polished images per portrait session and 400 per wedding.

OF THOSE, WHAT PERCENTAGE OF COLOR IMAGES ARE DELIVERED? BLACK & WHITE?

Typically about 70-80% of the images in our wedding galleries are delivered in color, while the others are delivered in B&W. Be advised that B&W images are a defining part of our aesthetic, as you may have seen from our site and social media posts. We usually apply a B&W treatment to images that are truly stronger or more interesting in B&W (artistically speaking) or in response to a challenging circumstances (ie: unflattering or dark lighting). If you would like an image re-processed in color or B&W after final delivery, there is additional $5 fee applied per treatment.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO RECEIVE MY PHOTOS?

Portrait-session images are delivered no later than three-four weeks after the session and wedding images are delivered no later than ten weeks after the wedding date. Rush processing is available for an additional cost.

DO YOU PRINT OR OFFER ALBUMS?

SW Albums are printed with archival ink on fine art paper through, creating an art book that is museum quality. Each spread is 20 mil (.5 mm) thick, so they flex just a little. Our designs start with 30 spreads and will hold a maximum of 45 (that's 90 pages). Custom debossing is available.

HOW DO I GO ABOUT COMMISSIONING YOU?

PORTRAITS: Payment is made on the day of the shoot.
WEDDINGS: A retainer fee of 50% of the total cost and a signed contract are required to reserve your date. The remaining balance is due 30 days prior to the big day.

CAN I POST MY IMAGES TO SOCIAL MEDIA SITES AND/OR BLOGS?

We would love that! We ask that you always give credit where credit is due. Give a little Someplace Wild shout out when sharing your images on networking sites and personal blogs. And please never sell the images or attempt to alter the images in any way.
