Someplace Wild® communicates the creative spirit, contrasting the complexity of a journey with timeless simplicity.

“Someplace Wild® means so much to me. The name and vision came to me in 2009  just when I needed it most; a time where I lived in a sea of conformity and lacked any true connection to my surroundings. This imagined "wilderness" set me free. Though figurative, this season taught me to see the beauty of my story and to appreciate it even in total darkness. I've been charged to document life in a way that's intimately mine; to tell the truth through artful imagery. Each time I take a photograph, it is a healing experience. I get to express such a deep part of my story simply by capturing yours.” - Christina DeVictor, Owner

Photographers contributing to your visual legacy.

Christina DeVictor

Owner/Photographer based in Atlanta

For over seven years, I have been fortunate to document individuals, friends, lovers, and families around the world. I began Someplace Wild because I was tired of seeing the same done-to-death photographs. I was certain there was something more and therefore began to challenge the status quo in the industry. We have the rare honor of contributing to your visual legacy and seek to share that truth in an artful way.

When I am not on the road, I reside about 30 minutes north of Atlanta, Georgia with my lovely filmmaker husband Tony and our two pups, Rosie and June. We are grateful to split time between our hometown and the greatest place in the world, New York City.

Photographer based in Brooklyn

Photographing people has been the heartbeat of Sidney’s life since she was fifteen years old. Hundreds of couples have promised their lives to one another in front of her lens and raved about her natural talent and hard work effort after the fact. Sidney’s approach has always seemed so effortless, allowing clients to truly be themselves while maintaining a strong commitment to composition and artfulness.

After many years traveling from East to West Coast, Sidney’s feet are finally settled in Brooklyn, New York. She lives a quiet life, spending most days visiting local shop owners/friends, strolling through Prospect Park and leading the incredible team at Edited by Artists, an editing outsourcing company for busy wedding photographers.

Photographer based in Atlanta & Denver

Since starting out about seven years ago, I’ve watched Michelle dominate the Atlanta wedding industry, as a business owner and fine artist. She is exceptional photographer, creating work unlike anyone else I know. Michelle was raised in family of artists therefore it was only natural for her to follow their lead by becoming an oil painter and then photographer. Her approach is free of boundaries yet rooted in technical excellence. Among a million other traits, her work ethic and warmth are to me, the most admirable.

Most days when she isn’t shooting or editing, you can find Michelle hanging out with her husband, Ryan and two littles, bare feet in the grass, listening to some ole soul music.

Nicola Harger

Photographer based in Nashville

With a fascination for light and the way it shapes a subject, Nicola uses her education in studio art and photojournalism to craft images that speak honestly and powerfully. She splits her work between medium format film and digital and is heavily influenced by the everyday things; like the way light falls onto the floor or the design of an open window.

When she is not documenting weddings, you can find her at Allform Studio in Nashville shooting portraits and editorial work. She is married to Christian, a full-time musician who travels just as much as she does. They are grateful to spend time at home together; outside with their dog Pino, around a bonfire or at happy hour with good friends.
