Christina DEVICTOR

Someplace Wild® means so much to me. The name/vision came to me in 2009 just when I needed it most; a time where I lived in a sea of conformity and lacked any true connection to my surroundings. This time in the “wilderness" set me free. I learned to see the beauty of life even in the darkness of the forest. I've been charged to document life in a way that's intimately mine — to tell a subject’s truth, artfully. To take time to observe and understand before assuming I know what to do. To let go and embrace what is in front of me. Each time I take a photograph, it is a healing experience. I get to express such a deep part of my story simply by capturing yours.

When I am not on the road, I reside in Roswell, Georgia with my husband Tony and our two pups, Rosie and June. We divide our time between owning a neighborhood cafe named Fellows and frequenting the greatest place in the world, New York City.

WE ARE PHOTOGRAPHERS CONTRIBUTING TO YOUR VISUAL LEGACY.

Nicola HARGER

With a fascination for light and the way it shapes a subject, Nicola uses her education in studio art and photojournalism to craft images that speak honestly and powerfully. She splits her work between medium format film and digital and is heavily influenced by the everyday things; like the way light falls onto the floor or the design of an open window. Nicola’s work is as honoring to telling the truth as it is to being artful, a perfect addition to the Someplace Wild team. We have been working together for well over a year now and our bond and purpose keeps growing stronger.

When she is not documenting weddings, you can find her at Allform Studio in Nashville shooting portraits and editorial work. She is married to Christian, a full-time musician who travels just as much as she does. They are grateful to spend time at home together; outside with their dog Pino, around a bonfire or at happy hour with good friends.
